After School Programs
Get ready for a rewarding 2025-2026 school year with the Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) Community Education programs. Through MPS Community Education, Armatage offers a variety of opportunities to help students grow academically and socially outside of regular school hours. This includes the year-round, fee-based Minneapolis Kids before- and after-school childcare, as well as a wide range of youth enrichment classes. Read on for more details.
Community Education
Community Education Youth Programs deliver a wide range of high-quality enrichment learning opportunities during out of school time. Community Education offerings support youth to develop strong peer relationships and foster new skills, through our intentional program design that fosters cultural identity, youth voice and leadership.

Minneapolis Kids + Kids Junior
Minneapolis Kids provides year-round, fee-based, school-age childcare for families with youth enrolled in High Five/Minneapolis Kids Jr through 5th grade during the school year (entering grades K-7 during the summer).

Minneapolis Rec Plus
Rec Plus provides school-age childcare for children in grades K-6, at neighborhood recreation centers. Children must have completed Kindergarten for summer. Children must be 12 and under.
