The health office tracks and reports vaccine preventable illnesses (such as measles, chicken pox and pertussis) to the Minnestoa Department of Health. You will be notified if your child is exposed to a vaccine preventable illness.
Respiratory illness (such as COVID-19 and Influenza) are reported to the Minnesota Department of Health when 10% of the student enrollment is absent with respiratory symptoms on a given day. The same is true for gastrointestinal illness.
The health office tracks non-reportable illness (such as strep throat) and sends out a classroom notification letter once a threshold of 3 students in 1 class has been met. The health office does not notify about head lice or pink eye on an individual classroom basis.
